What is Collagen's Role in Aging?

As we age, we lose collagen, which acts as the skin’s support structure, and helps maintain its shape. In fact, 70% of our skin is composed of collagen, and collagen loss causes the skin to lose its elasticity and moisture. How Does it Work?

Sculptra is a quick and practiacally painless injection, similar to dermal filler, and provides long-lasting results.
If you have sunken cheeks, temple indentations, or hollows under the eyes, Sculptra can be used to promote production of your body’s natural collagen — and it even continues to work long after you complete your treatment! Many patients have report continued volumizing effects for over three years!

How Many Treatments Will I need?

On average, a series of 2-3 treatment sessions over the course of a few months may be needed. The number of injections at each session will vary, depending on the degree of correction needed and the treatment plan determined by you and your specialist.  
Results from Sculptra are not immediate, although you may think that after your first treatment due to swelling.  When the swelling subsides a few days after, you may again look the same way you did before the treatment.  However, the poly-L-lactic acid will have already begun its magic..
