2023 Skincare Trends That Are Out & 2024 Trends That Are In

As we welcome a new year, it is fascinating to see how the skincare landscape evolves. 2023 brought us a plethora of trends, some of which we are ready to leave behind as we embrace more innovative and safer alternatives in 2024.

Last year, PDO Threads gained popularity for their promise of a non-surgical lift. However, we have learned that they can be more harmful than beneficial, especially to deep tissue. Liquid Nose Jobs, appealing for those desiring non-surgical nose enhancement, carry inherent risks, and aesthetically displeasing results.  The procedure location is an area known as high risk for vascular occlusions and severe complications such as vision loss make this a trend best avoided.  Furthermore it is only a matter of time before the filler causes the appearance of widening of the nose.  

Finally, the Russian Lips technique, known for its immediate volumizing effect, has been observed to cause filler migration over time, leading to the undesired 'duck lips' appearance. This side effect has prompted a shift towards more reliable and safer lip enhancement methods.

As we say goodbye to these trends, 2024 welcomes exciting and safer alternatives.
